Using baking yeast to brew beer?
Hey guys I'm new to the whole beer making thing. I've made ginger beer with my dad while growing up, and my brohter always done it. He gave me a recipe I used baking yeast, will this work or do i need brewers yeast. Also he said yeast converts the sugar to alcohol? My concern is i didnt use enough sugar, so the more sugar i use the stronger it will likely be?Any tips guys will this work.

Have you ever felt extremely sleepy during home brewing beer?
My boyfriend is a homebrewer and brews beer at home every other month or so. Usually drinking beer makes me a little sleepy, but I've noticed recently that whenever I am around or directly involved in the beer that's brewing on the stove, I get EXTREMELY sleepy after the hops are added. I know hops can be used as a natural remedy for insomnia, but in this case I've only been BREATHING around the brewing beer. I don't know if it's a coincidence or if I'm having a reaction to the hops. Has this ever happened to anyone else?
How to make home brewed beer step by step instructions?
Just to let you guys know I'm 15 years old but I haven't even tasted alcohol in my life. I want to drink some just to know how it tastes and I'm just curious. Now please can you guys just help me out I was truthful enough to tell you my age. I also obviously can't buy the ingredients at a brewery store. So where can I buy this stuff without raising too much attention like at a grocery store would they sell hops and stuff. I also read online that I could use two gallon soda bottles to put it in to ferment I want to make it and don't care if its really ghetto or anything thanks for the help.
What are the best colleges for brewing beer?
I am severely interested in brewing beer, and I wanted to know how to go about getting the best college education on doing so. So which colleges are the best to go to in regards to learning how to brew your own brew, and eventually starting your own brewery?I live in Seattle, Washington right now, and want to know what avenues I would take to brew my own beer and eventually start my own brewery. I know a business degree would be a good idea, but I would also like some sort of degree in brewing, if such a degree exists.
Why is my home brewed beer so foamy?
I brewed my first batch of beer, waited the appropriate times for fermentation etc. Now when i open a cold bottle, foam and beer just immediately pour out of the top. If you pour into a mug its foam, if you take a sip from the bottle, foam. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?
